Calm Gut Calm Mind
A 12-Week GI Psychology–Informed
Program for IBS
Structured, Focused Support to Break
the Anxiety–Gut Cycle
At a certain point, what’s needed isn’t more information. it’s a clear, organized way forward.
Living with IBS can feel like being stuck in a constant loop of stress, urgency, and symptom anticipation. You may have read articles, experimented with dietary adjustments, and gathered information, yet still feel unsure how to consistently apply stress-management and behavioral strategies that support your gut–brain health.
Over time, the mental and emotional toll of IBS can lead to frustration, exhaustion, isolation, and burnout. Many people cycle between overwhelm and experimentation without ever reaching true integration.
This program was designed to help you move forward.

A Focused 12-Week Therapy Experience
Calm Gut Calm Mind is a structured, three-month therapy program grounded in GI psychology and evidence-informed strategies. It is designed to directly address the anxiety–gut cycle and the stress-related and behavioral patterns that intensify IBS symptoms.
This program focuses specifically on the psychological and stress-sensitive aspects of IBS and is designed to complement, not replace, medical or nutritional care.
This is not generalized therapy.
It is targeted, skills-based, and intentionally organized.
Together, we work to:
Over time, many clients experience greater steadiness, predictability, and confidence, even if symptoms arise.
Built Around the 5 Stages of Living with IBS
Through years of working with IBS, I’ve noticed that most people move through predictable stages- from overwhelm and experimentation to clarity, integration, and eventually empowerment.
Calm Gut Calm Mind is designed to guide you intentionally through these stages. Instead of bouncing between strategies or trying everything at once, we focus on helping you move forward with structure, support, and measurable progress.
Wherever you are right now, whether feeling discouraged or ready for deeper integration, this program meets you there.
Over the course of this program you will:
- Develop a personalized IBS plan
- Learn skills to regulate stress and gut-brain activation
- Reduce symptom spirals driven by anxiety
- Strengthen your ability to self-soothe during flare-ups
- Implement realistic behavioral strategies with guidance
- Reclaim space in your life that IBS has narrowed
The goal is not to elimiate every symptom. The goal is to stop feeling hijacked by them.
Here's how the program is structured
1
A Full Intake Followed by 12 Focused Therapy Sessions
We begin with a comprehensive intake session to understand your IBS history, anxiety patterns, medical context, and determine whether Calm Gut Calm Mind is the right fit for you.
If we decide to move forward, we then meet for 12 weekly 50-minute virtual sessions devoted specifically to your IBS experience and the anxiety–gut cycle.
These sessions provide consistent, contained space to understand your patterns more deeply and develop practical, sustainable ways of responding differently.
All sessions are conducted via secure video.
2
Session Summaries and Therapeutic Materials
After each session, you will receive a brief written summary outlining key themes, insights, and suggested areas for reflection. You will also receive targeted handouts or structured exercises aligned with the work we are doing.
These materials are designed to support thoughtful integration between sessions without overwhelming you.
3
A Personalized IBS Support Framework
Over the course of the program, we’ll clarify how stress, anxiety, and symptom patterns interact for you. Together, we’ll develop a grounded plan for navigating flare-ups and difficult periods with more steadiness and less fear.
4
A Clear Beginning, Middle, and End
Unlike open-ended therapy, this program follows a defined structure. That structure allows us to stay focused on your IBS experience and move intentionally toward greater integration, while still honoring the emotional depth of the work.
How This Differs from Individual IBS Therapy
In individual therapy, we may address IBS alongside other areas of your life — anxiety, stress, relationships, work, or past experiences — at a pace that feels flexible and open-ended.
Calm Gut Calm Mind is different.
This program is intentionally structured and time-limited. For twelve weeks, our work is focused specifically on the anxiety–gut cycle and the patterns that keep IBS feeling overwhelming. Rather than weaving IBS into broader therapy, we stay directly with it.
The structure allows us to move step by step through a defined progression — from understanding your symptom patterns, to building regulation skills, to strengthening integration and confidence.
It is ideal for individuals who want concentrated, organized support devoted specifically to their IBS, rather than a more exploratory or flexible format.
After completing the program, we can discuss whether ongoing therapy would be beneficial. If it feels like a good clinical fit and space is available, you may choose to continue working together. Otherwise, I can help guide you toward appropriate next steps.
Calm Gut Calm Mind stands on its own as a focused therapeutic intervention for the stress-sensitive and psychological aspects of IBS.
