Clinician Consultation for IBS & Gut–Brain Care

Support for therapists and healthcare professionals working with IBS, gut–brain conditions, anxiety, and symptom-related distress.

Many clinicians encounter patients or clients whose digestive symptoms are closely intertwined with stress, anxiety, hypervigilance, uncertainty, or nervous system reactivity. These cases can feel clinically complex, especially when symptoms persist despite medical evaluation or when the emotional burden of symptoms begins to significantly impact daily life.

I offer GI psychology–informed consultation for therapists, physicians, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals seeking support in understanding and working with these presentations more effectively.

Together, consultation may focus on case conceptualization, gut–brain dynamics, anxiety and symptom-related patterns, referral fit, and ways of integrating GI psychology–informed approaches into clinical care.

Consultation may include:

IBS and gut–brain case conceptualization
Anxiety and symptom-related behavioral patterns
Hypervigilance, monitoring, and fear-based symptom cycles
Chronic digestive symptoms and health-related uncertainty
GI psychology–informed therapy approaches
Nervous system and stress-related symptom patterns
Referral and collaborative care discussions
Support for clinicians feeling “stuck” with complex GI-related cases
